Patients who have shown a good “on” period response during the initiation stage, but whose overall control remains unsatisfactory using intermittent injections, or who require many and frequent injections (more than 10 per day), may be commenced on or transferred to continuous subcutaneous infusion by minipump (D-mine® Pump) and/or syringe-driver.
With the D-mine® Pump, Dacepton® is administered continuously, therefore avoiding some of the challenges of pulsatile levodopa administration. Pulsatile levodopa administration likely contributes to the development of motor fluctuations and dyskinesia after a few years.1
The D-mine® Pump allows the user to navigate through a series of on-screen prompts and navigation buttons. It also comes with two rechargeable batteries and a handy carry bag (which can be worn over the shoulder or around the waist).
For more information on how to use the D-mine® Pump, skincare, ordering and FAQs please see our "D-mine® Pump Brochure".
Size of the D-mine® Pump (without Reservoir): Length 114mm; Width 61.5mm; Depth 30mm
